The best way to head into the weekend is with a spring in your step and a smile on your face. We can help with that: with the sweat of sport and the swagger of Virgin, we’re excited to kick off the very first Virgin Sport #GoFitYourself Friday.
In May, we launched Virgin Sport San Francisco with our founder, Sir Richard Branson, and our Chief Exercise Officer, Mary Wittenberg, during the world’s first “Press Conference on the Move” with the mission to inspire movement.
We want to keep the workout party going — join us!
To celebrate fitness and get the world moving, we’re excited to kick off #GoFitYourself Fridays, a weekly call to action starting TODAY for everyone to share what it means to them to get active.
Whether it’s showing us your exercise routine, sharing your healthy eating tips, or your favorite stretch after a good workout, we want to see how YOU have fun while getting fit.
Beginning today, we’ll be sharing #GoFitYourself posts each Friday across Virgin Sport channels, so go ahead and follow and share your own action too on Instagram, Twitter and Facebook. Post a photo or video of your best moves, tips or words of encouragement, tag #GoFitYourself and #VirginSportSF + our handles and we’ll share our favorites!
We’ll be asking you to Go Fit Yourself all the way through Virgin Sport San Francisco, the red-hot fitness festival making its way to the Bay Area this October 13–15. The wildly fun event will feature a new SF Bay Half marathon, a mile-high race to the top of Twin Peaks, and a fitness hub set in Civic Center, which will host activities, classes, food and local art.
Even if you are not a marathoner, come get down with us and celebrate the weekend by watching the races, enjoying the festivities, local food, drinks and entertainment.
After the first Virgin Sport Festival of Fitness in Hackney (which, hey, registration for the 2018 Virgin Sport Hackney event is opening for on 9 July), we know it’s going to be an exhilarating day of making challenge fun, making new friends and enjoying getting active together.
Good luck if you’re running, cheer loud if you’re supporting, and follow on from afar on social media.
Now on your marks… get set… go fit yourself!
